Butch Cassidy was born on April 13, 1866 in Beaver, Utah under the name of Robert Leroy Parker, Butch Cassidy took his alias from Mike Cassidy, an older outlaw he joined in rustling cattle in Utah and Colorado while still in his teens. Teaming up with various outlaws, he became an infamous horse thief, cattle rustler, bank and train robber and his association with Sundance Kid formed the Wild Bunch. When sheriff posses and Pinkerton detectives began capturing or closing in on members of the Wild Bunch, he and Sundance decided the West was a dangerous place for them and traveled to South America; Etta Place, Sundance's girlfriend, joined them. After three years of peaceful living as ranchers in Chubut province, Argentina, they returned to outlawry robbing banks, trains, and mine stations. The outlaw that have never killed a man failed to escape the law that had tracked him halfway across the world and got killed by soldiers on November 6, 1908 in the town of San Vicente, Bolivia.
Butch and Sundance were famous outlaw bank robbers. They were well educated and basically pretty nice guys. They were also part of the "Hole In The Wall Gang" and made the circuit of the "Outlaw Trail" which ran from the Dakotas to New Mexico.
