Here in Colorado, the west still lives.  Gold and Silver are still mined and the spirit of our forefathers is still alive in the hearts of us who are true Coloradoans.  Adventure can still be found as you challenge the Rocky Mountains by rock climbing, rafting on the rapids of a raging river, forging to the top of a 14,000 foot peak, backpacking into the wilderness, fishing, hunting, skiing down a magnificent slope of white powder and the list goes on and on.  You might still find your fortune as you try your hand at gambling in Cripple Creek,  Black Hawk, or Central City.

You are guaranteed a sense of awe and wonder as you tour our majestic Rocky Mountains.  Colorado has 54 mountains that loom to over 14,000 feet above sea-level.  People here still pan for gold and all of us feel like millionaires just because we have the privilege of golden sunrises and sunsets and turquoise blue skies almost everyday of the year.

San DeCristos at Sunset

As far as scenery goes, you will be amazed at the views that surround the Cactus Rose. Plus you will be in the playground of many of the area's native wildlife including deer, beaver, bighorn sheep, bear, mountain lion, and turkeys. So be sure to bring plenty of film and plenty of energy to make this a truly memorable experience.
